It is very mandatory for the students to know the exact date and time for admission in the university, here we will provide you the whole details of the Jawaharlal University admission details and its schedule, which can help the students to get admission easily and more conveniently.

Time Table for Admission

• Starting date of Online Application Form is from 4:00pm on 8th February 2016.
• Last date for the registration of Online Application Form is till 5:00 pm on 21st March, 2016.
• Issuing of the Offline Application Form is also from 8th February 2016.
• Last date of the Offline Application Form is 10th March 2016.
• Last date of the submission of completing the application form to submit it in JNU is 23rd March, 2016.
• Entrance examination date is 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th May 2016.
• Announcement of result of the written examination for BA (Hons.) 1st year, MA (Foreign languages), M.Phil./Ph.D., Pre-Ph.D./Ph.D., M.Tech./Ph.D., MPH/Ph.D., COP and ADOP (Mass Media) is on 27th June 2016 (Provisional).
• Viva-voce date of the students selected on the basis of written test is 14th July 2016 (Provisional).
• Notification of merit list for admission to various programmes of study:
• For the programmes where viva-voce is not mandatory is 8th July, 2016 (Provisional).
• For the programmes where viva-voce is mandatory is 22nd July 2016 (Provisional).
• Registration of students selected for the admission:
• For BA (Hons.) 1st year is 18th July to 20th July 2016 and 28th July to 1st August, 2016.
• For BA (Hons.) 2nd year, MA (Foreign languages), M.Phil./Ph.D., Pre-Ph.D./Ph.D., M.Tech./Ph.D., MPH/Ph.D. and JRF is 26th July to 1st August,2016.
• For MA (other than foreign languages), M.Sc. and MCA is 21st, 22nd and 25th July, and 28th July to 1st August, 2016.
• For the part time programmes is 2nd to 4th August 2016.
• For Direct Admission to the Ph.D. programme is 18th to 20th July, 2016.
• For Direct Admission to the Ph.D. programme for the winter semester is 4th to 6th January 2017.
• Last date for payment of the fees is 1st August, 2016. (For the selected students whose result has not been declared till 1st August can submit their acceptance along with the bank draft will be permitted to complete their registration requirements before 16th August, 2016.
• Announcement of the second list is on 4th August, 2016 (Provisional).
• Registration for the second list is 5th August to 16th August, 2016.
• The last date for admission or registration procedure is 16th August, 2016.
